Scarlett to play in World Bowl

New England defensive lineman Noel Scarlett, allocated to the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe, will play in the World Bowl in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday, June 25.

New England defensive lineman Noel Scarlett, allocated to the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe, will play in the World Bowl in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday, June 25.

Scarlett and the Claymores helped themselves earn a spot in the championship game by defeating first-place Rhein 31-24 last Saturday. Scarlett has started all nine games at defensive tackle for the Claymores (6-3). He has recorded 20 tackles, including 13 solo stops and 2.5 sacks.

The World Bowl match-up was made official when Barcelona fell 14-8 to Berlin on Sunday. Despite the loss, New England wide receiver Sean Morey had five catches for 63 yards. The Dragons (4-5) will host the Claymores in the regular season finale on Saturday, June 17.

Through nine weeks, Morey has 37 catches for 415 yards and three touchdowns. Patriot linebacker Marc Megna is third on the Dragons with 44 tackles, including 31 solo stops. Megna also has three sacks, two passes defensed and two special teams tackles. New England defensive tackle Garrett Johnson has 19 tackles and four sacks for the Dragons.
