Tight end David Martin is staying with the Green Bay Packers.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (March 16, 2005) -- Tight end David Martin is staying with the Green Bay Packers.

Martin, the primary backup to Bubba Franks during his four years with Green Bay, re-signed with the Packers. Martin caught five passes for 88 yards in nine regular-season games last season and made three tackles on special teams.

He had a career-longest 35-yard reception in a victory against Minnesota on Nov. 14, but injured his knee, ending his season.
