Tomlinson ties record with TD

LaDainian Tomlinson scored a touchdown rushing in his 13th straight game to tie the NFL record shared by John Riggins and George Rogers.

SAN DIEGO (Sept. 11, 2005) -- LaDainian Tomlinson scored a touchdown rushing in his 13th straight game to tie the NFL record shared by John Riggins and George Rogers.

Tomlinson scored on a 2-yard run to give San Diego a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter against the Dallas Cowboys.

Riggins scored in 13 straight games for the Washington Redskins in 1982-83. Rogers did it for the Redskins in 1985-86.

Tomlinson set the NFL's single-season record last year when he scored a TD rushing in 12 straight games. He sat out the season finale because the Chargers already had clinched the AFC West title.
