The final rosters for the 2002 NFL Europe season are set, which meant the end of the line for one New England allocation. Defensive back Mark Washington of Texas Tech was among the last players cut by the Amsterdam Admirals.

Washington actually started out strong in scrimmage action with a 61-yard interception for a touchdown against the Scottish Claymores, but it wasn't enough. Also among the final cuts for Amsterdam was wide receiver Ronney Daniels, who spent time in training camp with New England in 2001.

There are still six New England allocations who will be a part of NFL Europe this summer. Wide receiver Scott McCready was given permission by the Claymores and the league to leave camp early to join the Patriots for a visit with the President at the White House. McCready, who was on the practice squad in 2001, is the only allocation who was a member of the Patriots during the team's run to a Super Bowl XXXVI victory.
