PATRIOTS FINISH PRESEASON AT .500
The Patriots finished with a 2-2 preseason record. It is the 12th time under Bill Belichick that the Patriots have finished the preseason with a record of .500 or better. The Patriots finished 2-2 in the preseason for the second consecutive season.
PATRIOTS-GIANTS PLAY IN FINALE FOR 11th STRAIGHT PRESEASON
The Patriots and Giants have met in the preseason finale in each of the last 11 years (2005-15), and the Patriots are now 3-8 in those games, with all three wins coming at Gillette Stadium.Â
NEITHER TEAM REACHES END ZONE
The Patriots and Giants defenses each kept their opposing offenses out of the end zone, with the game finishing with a 12-9 Giants win. It is the second time in four years that the Patriots and Giants have played a preseason finale and neither team scored a touchdown. Â In the 2012 preseason finale on August 29, 2012, the Giants beat the Patriots 6-3.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
RYAN LINDLEY MAKES HIS PATRIOTS DEBUT WITH A START
QB Ryan Lindley played in his first game as a member of the Patriots. He started and played the entire game, finishing with 253 passing yards.
REGGIE WAYNE STARTED AT WIDE RECEIVER
Reggie Wayne started at wide receiver and made his first reception as a Patriots player on a 6-yard completion from QB Ryan Lindley in the first quarter. Wayne finished the game with a pair of catches for a total of 24 yards.
JALEN SAUNDERS WAS UTILIZED AS A RETURNER ON PUNTS AND KICKS
WR Jalen Saunders, who was acquired in a trade with New Orleans, made his Patriots debut and was used as a returner on punts and kicks.Â
GOSTKOWSKI DRILLS A 50-YARD FIELD GOAL IN THE FOURTH QUARTER
Stephen Gostkowski connected on his third 50-yard field goal of the preseason with a 50-yarder in the fourth quarter. He had a game-winning 53-yard field goal at Carolina and a 56-yarder in the first preseason game vs. Green Bay. Gostkowski is 13-of-17 in field goals of 50 or more yards in the regular season, and his 13 50-yard field goals are the most in New England history. Â Gostkowski was 3-for-3 on field goals in the preseason finale and finished the preseason 7-of-8 on field goals (including 3-of-4 from 50 yards or longer) and 4-of-4 on extra points.
LOGAN RYAN LEADS THE TEAM IN TACKLES
CB Logan Ryan led the team in tackles with nine total tackles, including a sack of Giants QB Ryan Nassib.Â

STARTING BLOCKS
FIVE MEMBERS OF THE 2015 DRAFT CLASS GET STARTS
Three members of the 2015 draft class were in the starting lineup for the fourth straight week with first-round draft pick DL Malcom Brown and fourth-round draft picks OL Tre' Jackson and OL Shag Mason. Jackson started at right guard, while Mason started at left guard. Second-round pick S Jordan Richards made his first start at safety, and seventh-round pick Xzavier Dickson started at linebacker.Â
RYAN WENDELL STARTS AT CENTER
Ryan Wendell made his 2015 preseason debut with a start at center. Last season, he started 12 games with 10 at right guard and two at center. He was the Patriots starting center in 2012 and 2013.Â
