Gronkowski: "I'll be there this week"

After sitting out the Patriots voluntary OTAs, Rob Gronkowski confirmed on Sunday that he will be back on the field for the start of mandatory minicamp this week.

Gronkowski shaved his head at One Mission's annual Buzz Off event, raising money for those battling pediatric cancer. After getting a fresh cut, he addressed the media and said he would be back at Gillette Stadium when mini-camp kicks off.

"We got the mandatory mini-camp this week. I'll be there this week. I'll be full go," Gronkowski said. "I'm looking forward to it. Can't wait to get back to work. I'm excited."

Questions of when Gronkowski would rejoin his teammates have been floating all offseason, and this confirmation puts those doubts to rest. He also doubled down on his with a post on Instagram.

Mandatory mini-camp is set to start on Tuesday, and with Gronkowski's presence promised, there is sure to be a real "buzz" around Gillette Stadium.

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski got his head shaved, along with hundreds of others, during the One Mission Buzz-Off For Kids With Cancer at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, June 3, 2018.
