Mike Reiss and Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com report that Harvard long-snapper Tyler Ott is among the Patriots undrafted free agent signings. They note that other confirmed signings include Delaware CB Travis Hawkins, Iowa LB James Morris, Oklahoma RB Roy Finch, Bowling Green TE Travis Beck, Eastern Carolina TE Justin Jones, NC State TE Asa Watson, and Michigan LB Cameron Gordon.

"The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Ott, who is from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was one of the top long-snappers in this year's class. He was Harvard's primary long-snapper in each of the last three seasons." READ MORE>>

Ben Volin](http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2014/05/11/patriots-draft-has-smarter-than-you-feel/dS89ewb9LcHiwpBgIvlgfP/story.html) of the Boston Globe writes that the Seattle Seahawks traded out of the first round on Thursday night because they were eyeing Patriots draft pick Dominique Easley, who was taken three picks ahead of them.

"One prominent orthopedic surgeon, who repaired Carson Palmer's ACL last decade, told the Globe over the weekend that Easley may actually come back stronger from the torn ACLs, similar to a pitcher coming back stronger from Tommy John surgery on his elbow," adds Volin. READ MORE>>

Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald gives the Patriots a C- draft grade and writes that early indications favor the team's rivals.

"They had a definite eye toward the future with respect to their nine selections," writes Guregian. "On the surface, with the possible exception of first-round pick Dominique Easley, it's hard to imagine any of them having an impact in 2014. However, Easley, a defensive lineman, will likely have to be limited this season given he's coming off his second ACL surgery." READ MORE>>

Mark Daniels](http://www.providencejournal.com/sports/patriots/content/20140511-after-the-draft-pats-begin-searching-for-diamonds-in-the-rough.ece) of the Providence Journal writes that of the Patriots three reported undrafted free agent TE signings, 6-foot-8 Justin Jones is the biggest name.

"He's a pass-catching tight end that also lined up as receiver in college," adds Daniels. "He sat out last season after being ruled academically ineligible. Jones was never a full-time starter, but is an intriguing prospect because of his size and athleticism. He finished his career at ECU with 52 receptions for 598 yards and 12 touchdowns in 32 games." Pete Prisco of CBS Sports believes Dominique Easley was the Patriots best pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

"Some will say I am nuts for saying this, but really liked the pick of defensive tackle Dominique Easley in the first round," writes Prisco. "He's had two ACLs fixed, but he can be a force inside." READ MORE>>
