The Patriots made Jabaal Sheard and Nate Solder available to the media on Tuesday and ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss shares some thoughts on both.

Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe says Solder wants his case to inspire others.

Solder also appeared on "PFW in Progress" and opened up about his cancer scare.

Alfonzo Dennard wasn't the only Patriot who was released yesterday and Reiss has the story of two others who were let go. In addition to the transactions, the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe has a notebook with news about some of the undrafted free agents the Patriots signed.

The Patriots announced the dates and times for their preseason schedule.

Jim Donaldson of the Providence Journal says all the picks look good in May.

NESN.com's Doug Kyed cites a report out of New Orleans that indicates the Patriots have reached out to undrafted tackleLa'el Collins.

CSNNE.com's Tom E. Curran says the Patriots are reworking their offensive line.
