News Blitz 7/22: Roger Goodell has 'no timeline' for Tom Brady decision

Today’s Patriots.com News Blitz includes an update on Tom Brady’s appeal, though no sign that a decision is imminent.

A week after saying that he was going to be making a decision soon on Tom Brady's appeal of his four-game suspension, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell updated the timetable for his ruling on Tuesday.

And unfortunately the update indicates that a conclusion to the latest phase of the Deflategate controversy is not necessarily imminent.

The Boston Globe and *Boston Herald* also check in on Goodell's comments.

ESPNBoston.com's ongoing Patriots personnel preview heading toward camp breaks down the safety position. The site also passes along Rob Gronkowski in another musical commercial as well as Darrelle Revis saying he mulled retirement after his 2012 knee injury.

WEEI.com is also doing positional previews heading towards New England's training camp. It kicked off with the **wide receivers on Tuesday** and moves on to the Gronk-led tight ends today.

And CSNNE.com's marathon list of the top 50 players of the Bill Belichick era adds Ty Law at No. 7.

The* Providence Journal* delves into just how much the Patriots will be counting on improvement from second-year players in 2015.
