Patriots announce trade of Draft Choices with Dolphins

The Patriots trade with the Dolphins, obtaining a 2nd-round pick in the '04 draft in exchange for the 2nd of the Patriots’ 3rd-round picks in 2003, the 78th pick overall.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced a trade with the Miami Dolphins today, obtaining a second-round pick in the 2004 draft in exchange for the second of the Patriots' third-round picks in 2003, the 78th pick overall. That third-round pick was aquired by the Patriots, along with a fourth round pick in 2004 and a seventh round pick in 2003, from New Orleans in exchange for safety Tebucky Jones.

With today's trade, the Patriots enter tomorrow's draft with 12 total picks and already have 10 picks in 2004.
