FOXBOROUGH – This is one Patriots win streak even the New York Giants can't stop.
New England won their 10th straight of the 2025 season on Monday Night Football, rushing out to a 17-0 lead and never looking back, knocking off the Giants, 33-15. The Pats got key contributions from Marcus Jones, who returned his second punt of the season for a touchdown, Kayshon Boutte, who caught his team-leading sixth touchdown and Drake Maye, who threw for 282 yards with two touchdowns while completing 77.4 percent of his passes.
The Patriots (11-2) are the first NFL team to get to 11 wins and head into their long-awaited bye week atop the conference and division, coming off one of their most dominant wins of the season, while getting important contributions in all three phases.
The Giants showed some fight behind rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart connected with Darius Slayton for a 30-yard touchdown, but a punt return touchdown and a fumbled kickoff return in the first half helped New England race to an insurmountable lead.
Here's how the Monday Night Football showdown went down!
1. Pats Take 3-0 Lead
The Patriots put together an impressive first drive to start the game, but it stalled out inside the Giants five-yard line, forcing New England to settle for an opening field goal from Andy Borregales. Rhamondre Stevenson and Hunter Henry came through with third-down conversion catches on the 12-play, 49-yard drive but Maye could not connect with Stefon Diggs on the final third down of the drive.
Terrell Jennings provided a nice boost on the opening kickoff, returning it 39 yards to the New England 47-yard line, but the offense could only turn it into three points as their red zone struggles continued.
2. Special Teams Come Through Again
The score didn't stay at 3-0 very long. The Giants picked up one first down on their initial drive of the first quarter, but the Patriots stiffened and got off the field on third down. On the ensuing punt, Marcus Jones caught the ball at his own six-yard line and had plenty of room to operate, exploding up the sideline for a 94-yard touchdown return.
Jones became the 4th player in Patriots history to return two punts for touchdown in a single season. This one extended New England's lead to 10-0 with just over five minutes to play in the first quarter.
3. Maye to Boutte for Six
The Pats kept pouring it on in the first quarter, forcing another punt then quickly going down the field for their first offensive touchdown of the day. Maye hit Henry for a 36-yard gain to set up the offense inside the Giants five-yard line. This time there would be no stumbles inside the red zone, with Maye throwing up a fade to Kayshon Boutte that Boutte hauled in for the score.
This scoring drive needed just five plays to go 61 yards, and the touchdown extended New England's lead to 17-0 before the first quarter had expired. The start was a perfect example of what can happen when all three phases start the game hot. Offense, defense and special teams all brought it, quickly giving the Pats a three-score lead in the game.
4. Giants Awaken
Down 17-0, the Giants would finally come alive, aided by an Unnecessary Roughness penalty on Jaylinn Hawkins that offset an incomplete third-down pass and gave New York a fresh set of downs. They'd immediately make the Patriots pay after the penalty, with Dart staring down an all-out blitz by the Patriots defense to find Darius Slayton on an underneath route that he took 30 yards to the end zone.
It was a six-play, 47-yard drive by the Giants and it got them back into the game in the second quarter, with the Patriots leading 17-7.
After a Patriots offensive three-and-out, the Giants started to move the ball again, threatening to further narrow the lead. But a bad snap on a field goal attempt from inside Patriots territory kept points off the board for New York.
5. Pats Pull Away
After one three-and-out, the Patriots offense got back into gear, but they'd have to overcome a Ben Brown holding penalty that backed them up 10 yards along the way. TreVeyon Henderson got more involved in the run game, ripping off back-to-back gains of 13 and 11 yards to get the drive started.
But the play that finished it off was the prettiest of the drive. Facing a 3rd-and-8, Maye lobbed another signature deep throw into the awaiting arms of rookie Kyle Williams. It was a 33-yard touchdown and it extended New England's lead back to 24-7.
The Giants gave the ball right back to the Patriots on the next kickoff, as Christian Elliss delivered a hard hit on returner Gunner Olszewski, who coughed up the fumble. The Patriots took back over at the Giants 24-yard line just before the two-minute warning.
New York would hold firm at their 11-yard line, forcing the Patriots to settle for a 30-yard field goal to make it 27-7.
But the Pats weren't done and would tack on another field goal late in the second quarter, set up by passing plays of 15 yards to Pop Douglas and then 36 yards to Stevenson. Stevenson had been left wide open and Maye found him late in the down to help steal the late score.
Borregales nailed a 28-yard field goal to make it 30-7 at halftime, as New England showed some high-end execution to add another scoring drive that took just 1:07 of clock time.
6. Giants Break Third-Quarter Stalemate
Neither team could get much going in the scoreless third quarter. The Giants took their opening possession across the 50-yard line, but they'd stall out and give the ball back to the Patriots on downs. Maye and the Patriots offense moved the ball in response but failed to add a fourth-straight scoring drive when Borregales missed his 45-yard attempt.
But the Giants would get back on the scoreboard in the early fourth quarter, using a wildcat play to run for a 22-yard touchdown, their second touchdown score from outside the red zone in the game. Dart also converted a two-point conversion, buying time with his legs until a receiver could shake free.
The touchdown and two-point conversion made it 30-15 early in the fourth quarter as things suddenly got a little bit more interesting.
7. Pats Win
New England's defense shut down any further scoring attempts by the Giants in the fourth quarter, while the Patriots offense would possess the ball long enough to keep the clock running out on the Giants comeback chances.
The Patriots added a final 23-yard Borregales field goal late in the fourth quarter to seal it, 33-15.
8. The Patriots are 11-2
With their 10th straight win, the New England Patriots hit their bye week as the first team in the NFL to 11 wins, atop both the AFC conference and the AFC East division. Few could've imagined the 1-2 Pats would reel off a double-digit win streak straight through to the bye week after they lost at home to the Steelers in September, but that's exactly what Mike Vrabel's team has done, putting themselves in a perfect position with four games to go.
Now, they'll get an extra week to heal up as best they can before the stretch run to the playoffs, all against AFC opponents, three of them within the division. None looms larger than a showdown with Josh Allen and the Bills at home in Foxborough right out of the break.
But for the moment, the Patriots can pause to enjoy an incredible run to this point, getting to 11-2, going over two months without a loss and firmly reestablishing themselves as contenders.
