The Hall earns CINE Golden Eagle award

CINE, a Washington, DC-based film competitions group, has awarded The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon a Golden Eagle Award in the Professional Non-Fiction Arts and Exhibits category for The Hall's signature film, "Patriots Way."

Foxborough, Mass. - CINE, a Washington, DC-based film competitions group, has awarded The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon a Golden Eagle Award in the Professional Non-Fiction Arts and Exhibits category for The Hall's signature film, "Patriots Way."

"We're very proud of the film and it's one of our most popular exhibits," said Bryan Morry, Executive Director of The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon. "We hear from plenty of our guests who are moved by it, which is a testament to the investment the Krafts made to make sure 'Patriots Way' was a top-quality film that honored the dedication and loyalty of Patriots fans."

"Patriots Way," developed for The Hall by Cortina Productions of McLean, Va., is a 15-minute signature film that plays every 20 minutes in the Raytheon Theater on a 48-foot-wide panoramic screen. The film explores the connection between the Patriots and their fans, using archival footage and photos combined with testimonials by Patriots fans to explain the franchise's importance to the region and its rise to success after early struggles. The film also features original 35mm panoramic beauty shots of New England landscapes and New Englanders at work, creating high-definition panoramic views. Edge-blended projectors in the theater create 48-foot wide moving images.

"It was a joy and honor to work with The Hall in creating 'Patriots Way,'" said Stephen Platenberg, director of production for Cortina Productions. "The Patriots story is made for the big screen, and this is a big screen. Three high-definition projectors are used to create one seamless image. The Patriots' history and connection with its fans is such a compelling and inspiring story. It's great to see the film honored by CINE."

The CINE Golden Eagle Award acknowledges high quality film production in a variety of content categories. Each year, hundreds of judges review nearly 1,000 entries in 32 categories.

Since opening in September 2008, The Hall has also received a Gold MUSE Award from the American Association of Museums, was named to Boston Globe Magazine's Best of the New, and was a Yankee Magazine Editor's Choice recommendation.
