Veteran DT Stanley returns to Jaguars, with whom he spent part of 2006

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Thursday that they have signed veteran defensive tackle Montavious Stanley to a free-agent contract.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Thursday that they have signed veteran defensive tackle Montavious Stanley to a free-agent contract.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Stanley, who's entering his fourth NFL season, spent part of last season with the New Orleans Saints before suffering a biceps injury. His contract with the Saints expired following the season. In 2007, Stanley started six of 14 games played for the Atlanta Falcons and finished with 29 tackles and two fumble recoveries.

Stanley previously had signed with the Jaguars in September 2006. He made four tackles in three games but was waived after spending two months with the team.

The Jaguars also waived defensive tackle George Hypolite, an undrafted rookie from Colorado.
