Though the picks weren't met with quite as much approval, Bill Belichick continued to target his defense with a pair of picks on the second day of the 2012 NFL Draft. New England used a second-round selection on Illinois DB Tavon Wilson and then a third rounder on Arkansas DE/OLB Jake Bequette.
Through two days the Patriots have added a trio of players to the defensive front and one guy in the back end.
So what will the team be looking for with its final selection of the three-day affair, a fifth rounder that's No. 163 overall.
New England could still use depth along the defensive line, a running back, a developmental wide receiver and, maybe most pressing, a return man.
There is also the chance the team tries to turn the fifth-round pick into a couple other late picks, although given the poor value New England got in its one trade on Friday another deal down might be difficult.
