Madden predicts big season for Brady, Pats

The always anticipated release of the latest Madden football game – Madden NFL 13 – hits stores today. And to help hype the game up the makers of the popular franchise over at EA Sports put together a full-season simulation for 2012 on the game.

The results should be music to the ears of Patriots fans.

Under the simulation New England finishes the 2012 season with a 12-4 record as the No. 1 playoff seed in the AFC. The rest of the playoff field, in order of seed, includes the Ravens, Chiefs, Texans, Steelers and Bills.

But the numbers are even more impressive in terms of Tom Brady's simulated statistics. According to the Madden game Brady is going to throw for 5,374 yards with 50 touchdowns and just eight interceptions to win the NFL MVP this fall!

Elsewhere, the game predicts that Wes Welker will catch 111 passes for 1,430 yards with seven touchdowns while Rob Gronkowski will 82 receptions for 1,188 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Defensively the game says Kyle Arrington will have five interceptions.

These numbers and simulations are a lot of fun. But clearly are just that, fun. Wouldn't put too much stock in them.
