RB Brandon Bolden was instrumental in last year's Patriots-Dolphins game in Miami – for the team in aqua marine and orange – but he won't be taking part in this year's encounter.
Limited all week in practice with a hamstring injury, Bolden was originally listed as Questionable to play versus his former club, but now he's officially out for Sunday's game. New England downgraded Bolden as the team prepared to travel to South Florida around midday Saturday.
The Patriots made no other modifications to their 53-man roster prior to takeoff, but will have to deactivate six more players by 11:30 Sunday morning – 90 minutes before kickoff – to comply with the NFL's 46-man game day roster.
