FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots Hall of Fame presented by Raytheon combines technology, interactivity and traditional museum elements to create an incredible fan experience that tells the story of the six-time Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. The Hall today announced it is expanding and enhancing the content available to fans through a new mobile experience with Rover.

The Hall has partnered with Rover to use QR codes to provide additional content via text, video and audio that will dig deeper into the stories and moments that define Patriots history.

The QR codes have been placed within many of the exhibits with some tied to specific artifacts. When guests scan the code using their phone or tablet, content automatically loads onto their mobile device with additional information about the exhibit or artifact they are viewing.

"We opened The Hall in 2008 with the focus of giving Patriots fans a unique place to live and celebrate memorable moments and great players," said Hall Executive Director Bryan Morry. "We're really excited to be enhancing the digital mobile content within our traditional and interactive exhibits. Our continued focus has always been on technology, and now, thanks to Rover, we are able to give fans easy access to more information than ever before. It allows us to continue to evolve the fan experience and make the venue that much more enjoyable."

The museum's exhibit galleries feature game-used artifacts, interactivity and storytelling, which guide guests through Patriots and New England football history through cutting-edge displays and technologies. The addition of interactive mobile content for fans navigating the museum brings relevant video and audio to the palm of the visitor's hand.

"The Hall has been looking at ways to add mobile content and Rover presented us with a solution that is fan-friendly and easy to use," said Patriots Director of Digital Media Jana Gauthier. "We recognize that most of our fans will already have their phone in their hand as they walk through the museum, so this execution is just another seamless way to engage our fans. Using Rover, fans can simply scan a code and get custom audio or video files along with expanded text to learn more about an artifact or piece of Patriots history."

Additionally, fans with the official Patriots mobile app installed will be instantly directed into the app, delivering a fully native in-app museum experience.

The Hall's focus on technology is nothing new. In 2015, the museum unveiled a newly renovated Super Bowl Experience exhibit featuring large 4k monitors and a 16' × 9' video wall featuring Super Bowl vignettes. Add a 45-foot wide panoramic projection screen and the Snow Bowl exhibit's geodesic dome, and it is clear to any visitor that the Patriots have put the fan experience at the forefront of the museum.

With a mobile tour in hand, fans are able to read about Belichickonomics, learn about the road to building a new stadium in Foxborough, re-live iconic historical moments and even watch a quick video explaining how the Hall of Fame Committee chooses its finalists.
