Patriots re-sign WR Jonathan Krause to practice squad

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced that they have re-signed WR Jonathan Krause to the practice squad. He was released from the practice squad on Oct. 31.

In addition, the Patriots released DL Kona Schwenke from the practice squad.

Krause, 22, originally joined the New England practice squad on Oct. 24. He entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Cleveland out of Vanderbilt on May 12, 2014. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder, was released by Cleveland on Aug. 25, 2014. Krause finished his college career with 98 receptions for 1,197 yards and five touchdowns.

Schwenke, 22, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Sept. 16, 2014. He originally was signed by Kansas City as a rookie free agent out of Notre Dame on May 19, 2014. The 6-foot-4, 297-pounder, was released by the Chiefs on Aug. 30, 2014 and spent 10 days on the Kansas City practice squad before being released on Sept. 11, 2014.
