The New England Patriots released rookie punter Aaron Perez today.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots released rookie punter Aaron Perez today. Perez was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 4, 2009. The 22-year-old played for four seasons at UCLA from 2005-08. The 6-foot-2-inch, 231-pound punter set school records with 286 career punts and 12,220 career punting yards. As a senior in 2008, Perez led the Pac-10 and ranked sixth in the NCAA with a 45.2-yard punting average.
