Patriots Sign WR Bam Childress

Foxborough, Mass – The New England Patriots signed undrafted rookie wide receiver Brandon "Bam" Childress today. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Foxborough, Mass – The New England Patriots signed undrafted rookie wide receiver Brandon "Bam" Childress today. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Childress, 24, attended Ohio State, where he played in 49 games over four seasons from 2001-04. The 5-foot-10-inch, 185-pound receiver recorded 33 career receptions for 392 yards. He also recorded nine kickoff returns for 159 yards for the Buckeyes. Childress is a native of Warrensville Heights, Ohio and was Ohio's Mr. Football in 1999. He was also selected by USA Today as the Ohio player of the year in 1999.
