As the Patriots prepare for their divisional playoff against the Colts we go inside the numbers for the postseason.

The Patriots' home playoff winning percentage. New England has won 14 of 18 home playoff games and has the third best postseason winning percentage among teams with at least 10 home playoff games.

Since 2001, the Patriots are second in the NFL in postseason sacks per game among teams with at least 10 games played, averaging 2.54 takedowns per game. Only the Steelers have more, averaging 2.94 sacks per postseason game.

The Patriots are one of two teams to make the playoffs every season from 2009-2013, a streak of five consecutive seasons. The only other teams to accomplish is the Green Bay Packers.

There are only three kickers in NFL postseason history who have a higher success rate with at least 10 field goal attempts: Martin Gramatica (13-14, 92.9%), John Kasay (23-25, 92%) and Chuck Nelson (10-11, 90.9%). Gostkowski's 90% success rate is also the highest in Patriots Postseason history.

SHANE VEREEN IN THE PLAYOFFS

Shane Vereen became one of only two Patriots players to have at least one rushing and receiving touchdown in a playoff game when he caught two touchdown passes and rushed for a third in the team's 41-28 win over Houston in the 2012 AFC Divisional Round. Deion Branch also accomplished the feat in a 41-27 win over Pittsburgh in the 2004 AFC Championship Game.

Vereen and Rob Gronkowski are two of three Patriots players to score three touchdowns in a playoff game. Gronkowski caught three touchdowns in a 46-10 win over Denver in the 2012 Divisional Round, while Curtis Martin rushed for three scores in a 28-3 win over Pittsburgh in the 1996 Divisional Round.

PATRIOT SUPER BOWL MVPS**

SUPER BOWL XXXIX - DEION BRANCH
Branch became the first wide receiver to win Super Bowl MVP honors since Jerry Rice (San Francisco) in 1989. Branch amassed 11 catches for 133 yards against Philadelphia and tied the Super Bowl receptions record held by Rice and former Cincinnati Bengals tight end Dan Ross.

SUPER BOWL XXXVIII - TOM BRADY
QB Tom Brady received his second Super Bowl MVP award after the Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers 32-29. Brady completed 32 passes, the record for most completions by a quarterback in the Super Bowl. Brady recorded 354 yards and three touchdowns as well.

SUPER BOWL XXXVI - TOM BRADY**
QB Tom Brady led the Patriots to victory over the 14-point favorite St. Louis Rams by the score of 20-17 and received MVP honors after completing 16 of 27 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown.
