Bruins, Celtics keep Super Bowl celebrations going

The Patriots were welcomed back home warmly this week at Bruins and Celtics games.

Boston is a special sports city. It is rare to find a fans as passionate as Boston fans, and it's even rarer to find teams that support each other so effortlessly when they succeed.

When the Red Sox won the World Series back in October, the team celebrated at Gillette Stadium, and after the Patriots win, the guys got a taste of that inter-team love.

By Tuesday morning, the guys rolled through the streets of Boston on duck boats. By Tuesday night, they were on the ice. Before the Bruins took on the Islanders, more than a dozen Patriots strutted out to mid-ice, and Julian Edelman was invited to drop the ceremonial first puck. He did more than drop it. He spiked it.

Julian was far from the only Patriot who spent the night with the Bs. David Andrews, Devin McCourty, Jason McCourty, Duron Harmon, Dont'a Hightower, Trey Flowers, Rex Burkhead, Deatrich Wise Jr., Lawrence Guy, Phillip Dorsett, Brian Hoyer, Marcus Cannon, Elandon Roberts, Kyle Van Noy and more rocked custom Bruins jerseys for the game.

They were also invited into the Bruins locker room for a special pregame speech from Zdeno Chara.

That wouldn't be the only trip the TD Garden this week.

As the Celtics prepared for a huge game against the Lakers, they welcomed back legend Kevin Garnett, and at least one Patriot was excited to meet him.

Once the game got rolling, the Celtics shone a light on the Super Bowl champs, putting them up on the big screen. Bill Belichick, Devin McCourty, Jason McCourty, Rex Burkhead, Kyle Van Noy, Sony Michel, Duron Harmon, Trey Flowers, Elandon Roberts and Trent Brown were all welcomed with a applause.
