The New England Patriots will close out the 2026 preseason when they travel to face the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. The game will be broadcast to a nationally-televised audience on Prime Video. It is the third straight season that the Patriots will play their final preseason contest on Prime Video. In 2024, The Patriots played at Washington, and last season, the Patriots played at the New York Giants. Last year, the Patriots hosted Cleveland at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 26, a 32-13 New England victory. The Patriots extended their streak to six straight wins against Cleveland in that victory.

SERIES HISTORY

The Patriots and Browns will meet in the preseason for just the fourth time overall and for the first time since 1993 when the Patriots and Browns met on Aug. 14 in a game played in Toronto. Cleveland won that game, 12-9. The only other time the Patriots played in Cleveland in the preseason was on Aug. 30, 1976 when Cleveland won, 30-27. The Patriots beat Cleveland, 21-10, in Foxborough in the final preseason game on Aug. 27, 1978.

The Patriots lead the regular season series 15-12 and extended their winning streak to six straight games with a 32-13 win at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 26, 2025. The Patriots' last regular season game played at Cleveland was a 38-15 New England win on Oct. 16, 2022.

Cleveland won the only postseason meeting when the Browns claimed a 20-13 victory over the Patriots on New Year's Day, 1995, in a Wild Card Playoff game at Cleveland's Municipal Stadium.
