Patriots Sign OL Jack Conley and P Matt Haack; Release CB Kenneth Harris and WR Kobe Prentice

The Patriots announced that they have signed first-year OL Jack Conley and veteran P Matt Haack. The Patriots also announced that they have released rookie CB Kenneth Harris and rookie WR Kobe Prentice.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced that they have signed first-year OL Jack Conley and veteran P Matt Haack (pronounced – HAWK). The Patriots also announced that they have released rookie CB Kenneth Harris and rookie WR Kobe Prentice.

Conley, 25, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with New England on May 9, 2025 out of Boston College. The 6-foot-7, 325-pounder, had two brief stints on the New England practice squad last year. He also spent time on the Detroit and Cleveland practice squads during the 2025 season. Conley went to training camp with Cleveland this past summer but was released on Aug. 18, 2026.

Haack, 32, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Miami Dolphins out of Arizona State in 2017. The 6-foot, 205-pounder, spent his first four NFL seasons with the Dolphins (2017-20). He has also played for the Buffalo Bills (2021), Indianapolis Colts (2022), Cleveland Browns (2023), New York Giants (2024) and Arizona Cardinals (2025). Haack has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Denver Broncos. He went to training camp with the Washington Commanders this past summer but was released on Aug. 18. Haack has played in 110 NFL games and has 478 punts for 21,513 yards and a 45.0-yard average.

Harris, 24, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent out of Oklahoma State on May 8, 2026. The 6-foot, 192-pounder, spent three seasons at Oklahoma State (2023-25) after three seasons at Arkansas State (2020-22).

Prentice, 22, was claimed off waivers by New England on July 25, 2026 from Carolina. The 5-foot-10, 184-pounder, was originally signed by Carolina as a rookie free agent on May 7, 2026 out of Baylor. Prentice played his first three college seasons at Alabama before finishing his career at Baylor in 2025. Overall, he played 38 games and finished with 86 receptions for 1,160 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last season with Baylor, he played in 10 games and finished with 26 receptions for 380 yards.
