DraftKings NFL Cheat Sheet: Fantasy Week 7

There are plenty of awesome matchups to target in Week 7.

Week 6 of the NFL is officially in the books! The Patriots were able to hold off the New York Jets, 24-17.

From a fantasy perspective, Tom Brady had a solid performance, completing 20 of 38 passes for 257 yards, two touchdowns and an interception to total 17.18 DraftKings Fantasy Points. Rob Gronkowski was the top performer for the Pats, totaling 26.30 DraftKings Fantasy Points on the strength of six catches for 83 yards and two scores.

The Patriots host the Falcons in a Super Bowl rematch on Sunday Night Football, so they will not be on the main DraftKings slate. However, there are plenty of awesome matchups to target in Week 7, which I'll break down below.  As always, you can reach me on the ol' Twitter machine **@SBuchanan24**.

GAME NOTES

Highest Scoring Game

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers – 47 projected points

EDITOR'S NOTE: This article was published prior to the news that Ezekiel Elliott's suspension has been lifted for two weeks.

With two games tied for the highest projected total of 47 points, I went with the Cowboys at 49ers, with the Cowboys owning the highest team total on this 12-game main slate with 26.5 points. The big news here is that the Cowboys will be without Ezekiel Elliot, who will begin serving his six-game suspension. Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris will be handling the duties out of the backfield and will start off with a very favorable matchup. The 49ers have been one of the worst defenses against the run, allowing an average of 96 rushing yards per game with three touchdowns. Neither of these backs catch much out of the backfield, as both average less than three targets per game in their careers. Dez Bryant should be busy in this game, as he looks to build upon his massive 15 targets in the red zone along with his 9.6 average targets per game. A Dak Prescott and Dez Bryantstack looks to be one of the better plays of the week.

Lowest Scoring Game

New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins – 38.5 projected points

The Jets will visit the Dolphins in a game that has the lowest total on this main slate at 38.5 points. The Dolphins are favored here with a team total of 20.5 points. Jarvis Landry is dominating the team in targets, averaging 11.4 through five games to go with his eight red zone targets. Jay Ajayi is another name to consider from the Dolphins, as the Jets remain one of the worst teams against the run. Heading into Week 7, the Jets currently allow an average of 105 rushing yards per game with four rushing touchdowns. Ajayi could be another popular play on this slate as he's coming off his best game of the season by rushing 130 yards against the Atlanta Falcons for 16 DK fantasy points. The only downfall for Ajayi is that he's yet to find the end zone this season despite carrying the ball an average of 20.4 times per game.

LINEUP QUICK HITS

QB To Build Lineups Around...

EDITOR'S NOTE: This article was published prior to the news that Ezekiel Elliott's suspension has been lifted for two weeks.

Dak Prescott ($7,300) –On a week where the QB position is fairly tough to roster, Prescott sticks out immensely with his matchup against the 49ers. With Ezekiel Elliot suspended, Prescott will be throwing early and often in this matchup. Prescott has thrown for at least two touchdowns in all but one of his five games this season while mixing in an average of 25.2 rushing yards. Opposing quarterbacks are averaging an average of 277 passing yards per games with 10 touchdowns against the 49ers.

WR To Pair Him With...

Dez Bryant ($7,800) –With a relatively unknown rushing game for the Cowboys this week, Bryant should be quite busy against the 49ers. Bryant is averaging 9.6 targets per game and 15 targets in the red zone this season. Bryant should line up against CB Dontae Johnson, who has been targeted against 33 times and allowed 20 catches for 353 yards and two touchdowns. With the favorable matchup and being Prescott's favorite target in the red zone, Bryant should flourish in Week 7.

The Top Running Back Will Be...

Leonard Fournette ($8,600) –Fournette immediately sticks out as the running back to build your lineups around in Week 7. He currently has a "Questionable" tag for the ankle sprain he suffered in Week 6 against the Rams, but all signs point to him being good to go for Week 7. Fournette is coming off two huge games against the Rams and Steelers, where he carried the ball 49 times and rushed for 311 yards for three touchdowns. He's in yet another favorable matchup against the Colts this week, who allow an average of 95 rushing yards per game with six touchdowns, which is the second highest in the league. With Fournette being the focal point of this Jaguars' offense, he should be utilized early and often.
