TEAM NOTES

PATRIOTS WIN 10 GAMES FOR 14TH STRAIGHT SEASON
The win over the Rams improved the Patriots to a 10-2 record. New England has reached at least 10 regular-season wins for 14 consecutive seasons, joining San Francisco (16) as the only teams to accomplish the feat.

MOST 10-WIN SEASONS SINCE THE 1970 MERGER
New England secured its 23rd 10-win season since the 1970 merger, tied with Pittsburgh and San Francisco for the second-most, behind Dallas' 25 10-win season since the merger.

DECEMBER REIGN
The Patriots have the best record in the NFL in the month of December since 2001.

STINGY DEFENSE
The Patriots defense has 10 seasons holding opponents under 20 points per game since 2001, including in each of the last two seasons. The 2016 Patriots are allowing just 17.3 points per game after holding the Rams to just 10 points. The defense has held its opponent under 20 points in eight games in 2016. The Patriots held their opponents under 20 points 11 times in 2001 and 2006, the most under Bill Belichick.

The 2016 Patriots have thrown just one interception in 2016 through the first 12 games of the 2016 season, the fewest interceptions thrown by any team though the first 12 games of the season since the 1970 merger. The 2016 Dallas Cowboys have thrown just two interceptions through the first 12 games. Prior to the Patriots and Cowboys, the fewest interceptions through the first 12 games with three by the 2015 Kansas City Chiefs, the 1993 Dallas Cowboys, the 1990 Chiefs and the 2016 Minnesota Vikings.

PATRIOTS NEARING RECORD FOR LEAST AMOUNT OF INTERCEPTIONS
The Patriots have thrown just one interception in 2016. The NFL record for fewest interceptions thrown in a season by an NFL team since the 1970 merger is five. The Patriots had just five passes intercepted in 2010, tying the NFL mark for fewest interceptions in a single season. New England attempted 507 passes in 2010, with just five resulting in interceptions. The Patriots are the only team of that group to have only five interceptions with over 500 pass attempts.

*RAMS HAD JUST 25 FIRST HALF YARDS; LOWEST TOTAL IN PATRIOTS HISTORY FOR ANY HALF *
The Patriots defense allowed just 25 total first half yards to the Rams, the lowest total in a half in team history. The previous low was 28 yards by the New York Jets in the first half on Dec. 26, 2005 in a 31-25 New England win.

RUSHING LOW
The Patriots defense yielded just 36 yards rushing to the Rams. Sunday marks the second game of the season New England's defense has held its opponent to fewer than 40 rushing yards. The defense held Cleveland to 27 yards rushing in Week 5.

PATRIOTS ALLOW A SEASON-LOW OF SEVEN FIRST DOWNS
The Los Angeles Rams gained just seven first downs. It is the lowest total by a Patriots opponent in 2016 and the 18th time in team history that the Patriots have held their opponent to 10 or fewer first downs in a game.
