FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced their 2024 season schedule tonight. The Patriots will play an international game for the fifth time in team history and for the second straight year when they travel to Wembley Stadium in London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 20 with a 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff. The game will be nationally televised on NFL Network.

The Patriots have played four international games to date, including two in London, one in Mexico City and then last season when they hosted Indianapolis in Frankfurt, Germany. In 2009, the Patriots defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 35-7, at Wembley Stadium. The Patriots returned to London in 2012 and beat the St. Louis Rams, 45-7. In 2017, the Patriots made their first appearance in Mexico City, defeating the Oakland Raiders, 33-8, at Estadio Azteca Stadium. Last year, the Colts beat the Patriots, 10-6, on Nov. 12, 2023.

The Patriots first game against an AFC East opponent will be a Thursday Night Football game at the New York Jets on Thursday, Sept. 19. It will be the sixth time that the two AFC East rivals have squared off on a Thursday Night game and the first since the Patriots took a 27-25 victory at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 16, 2014. Overall, the Patriots are 4-1 against the Jets on Thursday games.

In addition to playing each of the other AFC East opponents twice, the Patriots will play one game against each of the AFC South and NFC West teams. As the fourth-place team in the AFC East in 2023, the Patriots will play the fourth-place team of the AFC West (Los Angeles Chargers), AFC North (Cincinnati Bengals) and NFC North (Chicago Bears).

Seven of the Patriots 17 games will be played against 2023 playoff teams this season, playing both Buffalo and Miami twice, along with Houston, the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. In addition, the Patriots will face four teams that did not make the playoffs, but had winning records in 2023. Those teams are Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville and Seattle.

The Patriots will also play back-to-back road games three times in 2024 with games at the New York Jets (Sept. 19) followed by a game at San Francisco (Sept. 29), at Tennessee (Nov. 3) then at Chicago (Nov. 10) and finally at Arizona (Dec. 15) followed by a trip to Buffalo (Dec. 22).

The Patriots will open the season at Cincinnati on Sept. 8 with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. It will be the Patriots fourth time opening the season against the Bengals and the first since 2010 when the Patriots won, 38-24, at Gillette Stadium. The only other time the Patriots opened at Cincinnati was in 2001, a 23-17 Bengals victory.

Head coach Jerod Mayo will coach in his first regular season game at Gillette Stadium in Week 2 when the Patriots host the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 15. The Patriots will then travel for two straight road games with the Thursday Night game at the Jets followed by a trip to the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 29. It will be the Patriots second trip to Levi Stadium. The Patriots beat the 49ers, 30-17, in their first visit in 2016.

The Patriots will begin the month of October with home games against Miami on Oct. 6 and Houston on Oct. 13, before traveling to face the Jaguars in London on Oct. 20. Following the London game, the Patriots will return to Gillette Stadium and close out the month with a home game against the Jets on Oct. 27.

The Patriots will play in back-to-back road games when they travel to Tennessee on Nov. 3 and Chicago on Nov. 10. The Patriots will return home to face the L.A. Rams on Nov. 17, before traveling to Miami on Nov. 24 to close out the month of November.

The Patriots will open the month of December by hosting Indianapolis on Dec. 1, the fourth straight year the two teams will meet in the regular season.

The Patriots will have their last two road games in back-to-back weeks with games at Arizona on Dec. 15 and at Buffalo on Dec. 22.

The Patriots will close out the 2024 regular season with home games against the Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo. The dates and times of those games will be determined later in the season. It is the first time since 2020 that the Patriots will close out with two home games.
