New Rhode Island Patriots Instant Ticket

$5 instant ticket on sale now at Rhode Island Lottery retailers. Patriots President Jonathan Kraft joins Lottery for announcement

Cranston, RI (September 25, 2009) The Rhode Island Lottery and New England Patriots are teaming up to offer the first Rhode Island Lottery instant ticket branded by a professional sports team.

Patriots President Jonathan Kraft joined Lottery Director Gerald Aubin on Friday to unveil the $5 ticket, which offers a grand prize of $100,000 -- the highest cash prize ever for a $5 instant game -- and specialty prizes including Patriots season tickets and VIP game packages.

"We are proud to team up with the Rhode Island Lottery to offer Patriots fans in Rhode Island these exciting cash prizes and game day experiences," said Kraft. "The partnership will not only reward the winners, but generate crucial funding for the State of Rhode Island."

"The Rhode Island Lottery is very excited to partner with the Patriots and have the opportunity to offer such great prizes for our players. Rhode Islanders are already enthusiastic about the Patriots, and that enthusiasm is evident with the brisk sales of this ticket so far", said Aubin.

The New England Patriots Ticket offers the chance to win instant cash prizes up to $100,000 and $50 gift cards to the Patriots ProShop. Second chance drawings for non-winning tickets will award additional Patriots prizes, including 40 Patriots season ticket packages, 150 single-game VIP ticket packages and 150 single-game ticket packages including parking, as well as another $100,000 cash prize.

To promote the ticket, Patriots cheerleaders and former players will join the Rhode Island Lottery at different events during the season to sign some autographs and give away even more great prizes.
