Adam Schefter](https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter)** of ESPN reports that WR Julian Edelman will have a free agent visit with the San Francisco 49ers.

Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com reports that free agent LB Brandon Spikes is visiting the Bills on Friday.

"Spikes is likely seen as the type of middle linebacker who could allow the Bills to move Kiko Alonso to the weak side for the 2014 season to take better advantage of his athleticism," writes Brown. "A former second-round pick of the Patriots (2010), Spikes turns 27 in September."

Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports that the Patriots are "trying hard" to resign Julian Edelman.

Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com reports that Patriots DT Tommy Kelly has restructured his contract to create approximately $800,000 in additional cap space for the team. Kelly's base salary now sits at $955,000.

"Kelly was set to earn $2.5 million in his contract -- $1.95 million in base salary, a $50,000 workout bonus and $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses," adds Yates.

Albert Breer of NFL.com reports that the Patriots are interested in eventually doing a long-term deal with CB Darrelle Revis.
