The task of replacing New England sports hero Adam Vinatieri is certainly a high-pressure job for a young kicker. However, K Stephen Gostkowski has more than lived up to the expectations of fans. Gostkowski explained in a Worcester Telegram and Gazette article, “As long as I’m consistent and make the kicks when the team needs me, I’m happy. Numbers-wise and all that stuff, you can throw it out the window. As long as I’m helping the team win in the games, then I’m happy with the job I’m doing.”
