Team players & executives are choosing to appear more on sports radio and sports TV shows as it gives them a way to get their individual stories out and dispel incorrect rumors or stories that may be reported by the news media.

National TV networks pay a rights fee and have special access to privaledged information, while the local media has a more regulated access to players/coaches.

Finally, Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa write today in the Boston Herald's "Inside Track" that author David Halberstam will be releasing a new book in November that will take a look at the life and career of Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. The book is tentatively titled "The Education of a Coach."
