The 2008 season did not go as RB Laurence Maroneyanticipated. He suffered a broken bone in his shoulder during a week two win against the Jets that slowed his production until he was eventually placed on IR for the season. The *Metro West Daily News *wrote an article about Maroney's attempt to lead a talented group of running backs in 2009.

Maroney and company certainly will not mind having their leader and MVP back under center when training camp starts next week. *The Providence Journal *addresses the mental challenges that QB **Tom Brady **will face as he returns from a major knee injury.

Last but not least in today's news blitz, DL Jarvis Greenprovided some clarity about his recent quotation in a Louisiana newspaper saying that this would be his last year in New England. Green said to the *Boston Globe *of his current organization, "I’ve been there seven years, won a lot of games, two Super Bowls. If I could retire as a Patriot, that would be a dream."
