Jerome Solomon of the Boston Globe writes that the Patriots welcomed the 2005 rookie class to training camp yesterday along with the team's quarterbacks and those players who ended the 2004 season on injured reserve. The first practice begins today at Gillette Stadium with full-squad practices beginning Friday, July 29th.

Michael Felger of the Boston Herald offers his fifth in a series of position-by-position looks at the Patriots heading into training camp. The fifth article in the series explores the Patriots depth at tight end and wide receiver. Felger writes that tight end Benjamin Watson could be a key contributor in the Patriots offense this season and will be the most-watched player in camp.

Glen Farley of The Enterprise writes that the Patriots are on the verge of history. The Patriots go into this season with the chance to be the first NFL team to win the super bowl three-years in a row. Farley also reviews the possible hurdles on the road to this potentially historical feat.

Michael Felger of the Boston Herald reports that though the remaining $3.9 million due to Tedy Bruschi on his current contract is not guaranteed money, the Patriots have worked out a deal where most of that money will be paid to the veteran linebacker regardless of whether or not he ever plays again.

Reiss attempts to answer such questions as "Who will start at cornerback?", "Who will be calling the offensive plays?" and "Will Richard Seymour show up for training camp?"
