After 11 seasons as the feature back for the Jacksonville Jaguars that included a trip to the Pro Bowl in 2007, RB Fred Taylorknows what it takes to be successful in the NFL. During his tenure in the game, Taylor understands staying healthy is the highest priority. "I understand how important it is to take care of your body - the maintenance, the massage, the chiropractor, acupuncture, whatever you need, you want to make sure you're healthy by the next game." The Boston Globe reports Taylor has cemented himself as the feature back despite the running back-by-committee system thus far. The veteran is coming off his best game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Patriots NT Vince Wilforkhas been diagnosed with a sprained ankle, according to a source with information of his condition. This report, which was relayed to the Boston Herald, suggests the injury is not too serious. The injury occurred in the second quarter against the Falcons Sunday. It's unknown if Wilfork will play this coming Sunday against the Ravens.

The *Providence Journal *reports the Patriots signed DLTerdell Sandsyesterday. Sands, at 6-foot-7, 335 pounds, spent the last six seasons with the Oakland Raiders. In order to make room for Sands on the roster, the Patriots released LB Prescott Burgess who came to the team last Tuesday in a trade with the Ravens for a conditional seventh-round pick.

Head Coach Bill Belichick is pleased with S Brandon McGowanentering Week 4 of the season. "The more he's played, the better he's played," Belichick said. "The more impact he's had on the game, the more you want him in there -- and he's done a good job." A one-time undrafted free agent, McGowan is starting over veteran S **James Sanders **according to *The Union Leader. *
