**Mike Rodak** of ESPNBoston.com reports that the Patriots hosted defensive lineman Trevor Laws for a free-agent visit on Saturday, according to a league source. Rodak writes, "Laws, 26, was a second-round pick of the Eagles in 2008. The Notre Dame product has played in 56 career NFL games for Philadelphia, making two starts. Last season, Laws had 20 tackles and one sack in 14 games. He recorded a career-high four sacks in 2010, along with five passes defensed and an interception." Laws is the second defensive lineman to visit the Patriots over the last week, with Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo also visiting on Saturday.

The statement reads, "I have a lot of respect for Peyton Manning as a person and as a player. He is a great role model and always puts the team first. Green-Ellis rushed for 667 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. Paoletti writes, "The Bengals' leading back, Cedric Benson, is an unrestricted free agent. Cincinnati has essentially found Benson's replacement in Green-Ellis."
