**Mike Rodak** of ESPNBoston.com reports that the Patriots hosted defensive lineman Trevor Laws for a free-agent visit on Saturday, according to a league source.  Rodak writes, "Laws, 26, was a second-round pick of the Eagles in 2008. The Notre Dame product has played in 56 career NFL games for Philadelphia, making two starts. Last season, Laws had 20 tackles and one sack in 14 games. He recorded a career-high four sacks in 2010, along with five passes defensed and an interception."  Laws is the second defensive lineman to visit the Patriots over the last week, with Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo also visiting on Saturday.

**Greg A. Bedard** of The Boston Globe writes that Tom Brady has released a statement via his Facebook page about Peyton Manning officially joining the Broncos.  The statement reads, "I have a lot of respect for Peyton Manning as a person and as a player. He is a great role model and always puts the team first. And he is a great leader and representative for the NFL. Like always, it will be fun to compete against him this year when the New England Patriots play the Denver Broncos."

**Christopher Price** of WEEI.com looks at the recent free-agent moves for the Patriots and wonders what the signings will mean come draft weekend.  Concerning the offensive line position, Price writes, "Expect the name **Ben Jones**, a center out of Georgia who can also play some guard, to be linked to the Patriots with one of their two first-round picks, especially if they cannot come to terms with Koppen."

**Jerry Spar** of WEEI.com writes that, according to a report from Fox Sports, the Bills are finalizing a deal with defensive end Mark Anderson. "In 16 games with the Patriots last season, the 28-year-old had 29 tackles (18 solo) and 10 sacks. Anderson started the season as a pass rushing specialist but was pressed into regular duty following a season-ending injury to Andre Carter."

**Chris Chiavetta** of NESN.com writes that Rob Gronkowski will be a No. 2 seed in the 32-player tourney to determine who will be on the next cover of the popular Madden '13 video game.  Gronkowski will be squaring off against newly-acquired WR Brandon Lloyd in the first round.  You can vote for the two Patriots here.

**Mary Paoletti** of CSNNE.com writes that Patriots free-agent running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis is likely to be a member of the Cincinnati Bengals soon, according to a source.  Green-Ellis rushed for 667 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.  Paoletti writes, "The Bengals' leading back, Cedric Benson, is an unrestricted free agent. Cincinnati has essentially found Benson's replacement in Green-Ellis."
