How does Laurence Maroney plan to alter his mindset for 2008,and which player has been very 'special' this training camp?  Also, an update on Junior Seau and players weigh in on the topic of bone-crushing hits all in today's Patriots.com News Blitz.

Rookie WR/S Matthew Slaterwas drafted in the fifth round of this past April's draft in order to bolster the Patriots' already productive return game. In his first NFL training camp Slater has been impressing those around him with his electrifying speed and quickness.

The *Boston Globe *asked the team's all-time leading kickoff returner, Kevin Faulk, about comparisons between he and Slater. "I don't think I had that much speed," said Faulk.

Laurence Maroneyis coming into this year with a new mindset, to finish every play. "Finishing. It's all about finishing," Maroney said to the Boston Herald. “No matter what I’m doing - if it’s a block, a pass route or running - you have to finish it. Everything is about finishing.”

The Herald also published a piece in which players gave their personal accounts about the hard-hitting nature of the game of football.

Will **Junior Seau **return to the Patriots for another season? This seems to be a question that has been on the minds of many fans. The *Providence Journal *provides more insight on the topic.

Finally, Head Coach Bill Belichickaddressed the issue of using defensive head-sets in a press-conference Monday.

"We haven't used them yet, so it's not really a high priority right now," said Belichick in a Sun Chroniclearticle. "We need to just go out there and learn how to play good defense and learn our assignments and all that. We'll get to the other stuff when we get to it."
