BOSTON, Mass. - On Thursday, May 19, Bill Belichick, the head coach of the three-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, will help celebrate the 2005 Big Brother of the Year Awards with Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay. News anchor Randy Price and sports director Joe Amorosino of WHDH will participate in the event as the dinner emcees. Sports legends Ken Hodge, Gord Kluzak, Jim Rice, and Tim Fox will join Coach Belichick and LPL Financial as presenters for this year's Big Brother of the Year Awards honoring several outstanding Massachusetts volunteers. With more than 1,900 Big and Little brother matches throughout Massachusetts, selecting one Big Brother of the Year is no easy task. Each Big Brother is a tribute to the true spirit of volunteerism. The nomination process gives the agency the opportunity to hear individual stories from each Big/Little relationship confirming over and over again the power of a one-to-one adult child friendship. Of the sixty nominees, twenty-five semi-finalists were selected and then the group was narrowed to six finalists, one of which will become this year's Big Brother of the Year. The honoree will be announced Thursday evening.

The event will be held at the Boston Copley Marriott Hotel beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. Keynote speech, live auction, dinner and awards begin at 7:30 p.m. The evening's celebration culminates with the presentation of the 2005 Big Brother of the Year Award.
