Patriots sign DT Ken Kocher to practice squad

The New England Patriots signed rookie defensive tackle Ken Kocher to the team’s practice squad today.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots signed rookie defensive tackle Ken Kocher to the team's practice squad today.

Kocher, 22, was signed by the Green Bay Packers as a non-drafted rookie free agent out of UCLA following the 2002 NFL draft on April 26, 2002. The 6-foot-3-inch, 315-pound prospect was released from the Packers on August 28, prior to the start of the 2002 season. The Fullerton, Calif. native attended Patrick Henry High in San Diego, where he earned SuperPrep Magazine's Far West Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior.
