Patriots Sign WR Jason Anderson

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots signed rookie wide receiver Jason Anderson today. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Anderson, 24, was originally signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2005. He was released by Tennessee on July 27, 2005. The 6-foot-3-inch, 195-pound receiver attended Wake Forest University, where he played in 44 games over four seasons from 2001-04. The Charlotte, N.C. native recorded 115 receptions for 2,066 yards and 15 touchdowns in his collegiate career. Anderson was the Demon Deacons' leading receiver in 2001 and 2003. He finished his Wake Forest career as the school's all-time leader in yards per catch (18.0).

Anderson will wear number 7 for the Patriots.
