The Patriots signed a bunch of players who finished the 2011 season on the practice squad to futures contracts in January but there was another that slipped through the cracks.
That day the team also signed quarterback Mike Hartline, who spent some time on the Colts practice squad after signing with Indy as an undrafted free agent.
Hartline, a 6-6, 210-pound quarterback out of Kentucky, was released by the Colts before the start of the season but signed back to the practice squad before being let go once again.
