Quick Kicks: PFW's Redskins Week Coverage

Following their win against the Indianapolis Colts, the Patriots get set to play the Redskins this week in Washington.

Now do you see why I was so worried about the Colts game all last week? Hmm?

The Patriots were lucky to survive with a win over Indy Sunday afternoon, after starting slowly (again) and finishing weakly (again). Which is probably why head coach Bill Belichick didn't give his players a "Victory Monday" off, like he did last week.

Players are reporting to the facility today, and we'll get a chance to talk to them around mid-afternoon, followed by BB at 3:30 Eastern. After that, we move on to the 4-8 Washington Redskins.

Tuesday, you can expect a brand new Ask PFW on patriots.com. And forgive us for looking ahead just a bit, but we're also expecting an announcement from the league that could affect next week's game in Denver. So, keep your Twitter feeds handy.

There's also the usual round of conference calls with BB, offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien, and personnel man Nick Caserio. As always, Andy and Paul will handle anything newsworthy that comes from those, in between filming this week's PFW TV with Fred (tune in Thursday night at 7:30 on Comcast SportsNet New England) and the three of them hosting "PFW in Progress" on patriots.com radio starting at noon.

Practice and player interview access will take place Wednesday through Friday (check for updates here on the blog and on patriots.com), and Bill hosts press briefings on Wednesday and Friday. Our afternoon radio programming (available for download as a podcast if you can't listen live) continues Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, too.

Saturday, the team heads to our nation's capital. So, you know what that means … you'll be getting a PFW Postcard in your virtual mailbox sometime Sunday before kickoff. Patriots Today's Lyndsay Petruny is making her first road trip with us, so, you can bet that'll be part of the story, too.

Sunday morning, we have another rare 1 p.m. kickoff, so, that means Andy and Paul's Pre-Game Social on the Patriots Facebook page will starting at 10:45 a.m. Eastern again.
