The Patriots kicked off the 2013 team-building process with the annual rookie mini-camp at Gillette Stadium May 3-4. The workouts included this year's class of 26 rookies – seven draft picks and 19 undrafted free agents – as well as a pair of first-year players with Canadian free agent imports defensive lineman Armond Armstead and linebacker Jason Vega.
