According to various reports, including one from the Miami Herald, Patriots Director of Player Personnel Nick Caserio is in Miami on Friday to interview for the Dolphins vacant GM job.
Miami has been interviewing candidates for weeks without much success since dismissing Jeff Ireland. The team was reportedly set to begin finalist interviews on Saturday, but has added Caserio to the mix of initial interviews.
Caserio has been with the Patriots in a variety of roles since joining the franchise in 2001 as a personnel assistant. He's held roles in both coaching and the personnel department, eventually taking over as personnel director in 2008 and serving as Bill Belichick's top adviser in terms of free agency and the draft.
