The facelift at Patriots wide receiver is on-going, the latest addition reportedly being veteran Michael Jenkins (late of Minnesota, and before that Atlanta). The 10-year veteran is said to have inked a free agent deal with New England, according to Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com, who was first to report the news.
Jenkins had 40 catches in 16 games with Minnesota last season, after coming off a left knee injury that cost him the final five games of 2011. He was released by the Vikings earlier this month. His best seasons in the NFL came in 2007 and '08, when he averaged about 50 catches for 600 yards or so in that span.
