Foxborough, Mass. – Following a 33-0 shutout win over rival Seekonk on Thanksgiving Day, Dighton-Rehoboth Regional head coach Dave Moura has been named this week's New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week.

The Falcons took a commanding 27-0 lead into halftime and cruised to the 33-0 victory to win their seventh in a row and improve to 9-2. Dighton-Rehoboth got off to a fast start after a 4-yard touchdown run by Joe Carrera and a 12-yard touchdown pass from Harrison Pray to Blake Kerwin with 46 seconds left in the opening stanza. Senior running back Reis Foley took over in the second quarter, rushing for two scores, and finished his day with 131 yards on the ground. The Falcon defense also shined, recovering a fumble and forcing an interception as they preserved the shutout. This game marked the 52nd annual meeting between Dighton-Rehoboth and Seekonk, with the Falcons holding the 32-19-1 series advantage.

The victory brings the Falcons' win streak to seven-straight games as they prepare to take on Nashoba Regional in the MIAA Division 4 State Championship game on Friday at 5 p.m. This game marks the first time in 20 years that Dighton-Rehoboth has played in the state championship.

Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett, now the team's executive director of community affairs, met with the Dighton-Rehoboth players and coaching staff Tuesday afternoon following the MIAA Super Bowl Breakfast at Gillette Stadium to present the football program with a $1,000 donation on behalf of the New England Patriots Foundation, in honor of Coach Moura. The visit and check presentation will be featured on the Patriots weekly television show, "Patriots All Access," which airs on Friday night at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV in Boston and will be available immediately after on Patriots.com.

This is the 23rd year in which the Patriots have joined the National Football League in conducting the High School Coach of the Week program, which recognizes outstanding high school coaches and promotes youth football throughout New England. The 2018 season marks the eighth year that Tippett has taken the award on the road to visit the schools that benefit from the program.

"What a great win by Coach Moura and the Dighton-Rehoboth football program," Tippett said. "They have put together a full team effort to win the past seven games and we wish them the best of luck in the state championship game Friday evening."

At the conclusion of the fall, one of the weekly winners will be named the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Year and will receive an additional $2,000 contribution towards the school's football program.

For the eighth straight year, the Patriots will also be accepting nominations for High School Coach of the Week honors. Those who wish to nominate a high school football coach in New England who leads a team to an exceptional weekly performance or reaches a personal career milestone is encouraged to send submissions to nominatecoach@patriots.com. All nominations must be submitted following a team's Friday night or Saturday afternoon game to be considered for that week's Coach of the Week award.
