The New England Revolution named Lou Imbriano as the team’s Chief Operating Officer today.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution named Lou Imbriano as the team's Chief Operating Officer today. In his expanded role, Lou will oversee all of the team's daily business operations, while maintaining his current responsibilities as the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium.

"We want to expand our marketing efforts and the overall scope for the Revolution's business operations and we believe that Lou Imbriano and his staff are uniquely qualified to direct that initiative," said Jonathan Kraft. "The Revolution enjoyed a tremendous finish to their 2002 season and a dramatic overtime ending in their championship quest last Sunday. We are anxious to begin building for the 2003 season."

Imbriano was originally hired as the marketing director of the New England Patriots in 1997, but quickly expanded his role to include all sports marketing efforts for the Kraft family businesses, including the Revolution and stadium-related sponsorships. In six seasons, he has developed one of the premiere marketing departments in all of sports. His staff operates all sales initiatives, including Club Membership sales, and all marketing programs, including advertising, promotions, and event planning for the New England Patriots, Revolution and Gillette Stadium. Since joining the organization, his staff annually ranks among the highest revenue-generating marketing departments in sports.

"I have a great staff that shares and understands the Kraft family's vision and marketing philosophy," said Imbriano. "We are fortunate to operate in a world-class entertainment facility like Gillette Stadium and are excited about the growth potential for the Revolution and their fans in the seasons to come. We have great sports fans in this region and we will continue to create ways of improving the family entertainment that we provide for all future events at Gillette Stadium, as we strive to be known as the most fan-friendly sports facility of its kind."
