Even though the calendar is set to turn to April, our March Pats-ness tournament is no less exciting as we hit the final stages. The field has been from 16 down to the final four - and there was one fairly surprising upset as No. 2 seed Rob Ninkovich upended top seedCorey Dillon to advance.
The voting was a bit tighter as the field was whittled from 16 to 8 now down to 4 with Randy Moss, Mike Vrabel, Ninkovich and Rodney Harrison emerging as the winners.
While Moss and Harrison won somewhat convincingly, Ninkovich pulled off the upset by taking 59 percent of the vote over the favorite Dillon. The linebacker was the only No. 2 seed in our tournament to knock off a 1 seed.
The greatest offseason veteran acquisition of the Bill Belichick era will come down to what should be a pair of interesting semifinal matchups featuring Moss vs. Vrabel and Ninkovich vs. Harrison. So, be sure to vote today as the contest is heading down the home stretch and everyone wants to be sure to have their voices heard.
Judging from the results of the first two rounds, Moss appears to be the favorite, but as Ninkovich proved, upsets aren't reserved for the hardwood.
