Jeff Howe](http://bostonherald.com/sports/patriotsnfl/theblitz/2014/01/richardshermanlistsaqibtalibamongnflselitecornerbacks)of the Boston Herald writes that Seattle Seahawks CBRichard Sherman** listed Aqib Talib among the NFL's best cornerbacks in a recent interview with the media leading into Super Bowl XLVIII.

"At the cornerback position, every one of them out there is going to say they're the best," Sherman said. "That's the way you've got to play the position. I'm sure every corner out there is playing good football right now -- the Joe Hadens, the Patrick Petersons, the Darrelle Revises, the Aqib Talibs, the Alterraun Verners feel like they're the best corner in football. In order to play this game at the highest level, that's how you've got to feel. That's the confidence you feel."

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com shares some soundbites from Patriots owner Robert Kraft's interviews on "CBS This Morning" and CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Thursday. Kraft spoke about London, who he's rooting for in the Super Bowl, Tom Brady and more.

"I'll just tell you, all week this week, he's been in the stadium, working with our offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to see what they can do to improve," Kraft said of Patriots QB Tom Brady. "There is a great focus."

Nick Underhill of MassLive.com writes that Patriots WR Julian Edelman appeared on 98.5 The Sports Hub on Thursday and discussed his mindset heading into free agency.

"Playing for New England is a dream, but like you said, there's a short window in this sport," said Edelman. "I don't know yet. There's a lot of things that can happen going forward that could sway that one way or another. Hopefully it all works out in favor for both."

Phil Perry of CSNNE.com writes about Larry Fitzgerald's recent radio interview in New York. Arizona's All-Pro wide receiver explained that the Cardinals never approached him about a trade last offseason. It was reported earlier this week that the Patriots had 'interest' in Fitzgerald.

"Never, never," Fitzgerald said. "And I know [Cardinals general manager] Steve Keim, general manager of the year, very well. He drafted me 10 years ago, so I talk to him all the time. If anything was ever probably going to happen, I mean, I would imagine he would probably say something to me."

Christopher Price of WEEI.com gives his "Free Agent Snapshot" of impending free agent Eric Decker, and says that the idea of the Patriots signing the Bronco wideout is a longshot.

"It seems like something of a long-shot - after all, a guy who has had 216 catches over the last three seasons will draw plenty of interest on the open market, especially when you consider that it'll be something of a depressed year for receivers' contracts," writes Price. "Throw in the fact that the Patriots aren't expected to have a ton of dough under the cap this spring, and it feels like Decker is a little out of their range."
