News Blitz 4/25: Gronk confirms his return

All of the day's Patriots news in one convenient place.

Patriots fans received some good news on Tuesday when Rob Gronkowski posted a message on his Instagram account indicating that he met with Bill Belichick and intends to play for the team in 2018.

ESPN.com believes that news timely in that it provided the team some clarity heading into the draft. MassLive.com disagrees and feels the team should still look at tight ends. Boston Sports Journal analyzes the situation and wonders what it means for the Patriots.

The Patriots most pressing draft need might very well be left tackle but there's a pretty good chance the team won't be able to immediately fill it this week, at least according to ESPN.com.

Focusing on tackles, ESPN.com reports the draft offers few options at that spot despite the Patriots notable void in the wake of Nate Solder's departure.

New England doesn't appear to have many options to fill the need for a pass rusher either.

According to Boston Sports Journal, complaints about the Patriots environment are nothing new.

Steve Buckley of the Boston Herald writes about the memorial services for long-time Patriots radio play-by-play man Gil Santos, who passed away at the age of 80.

The Athletic takes a look back 25 years to the day when Drew Bledsoe was the No. 1 overall pick for the Patriots.
