News Blitz 6/13: Patriots take proper approach with Rob Gronkowski

All of the day's Patriots news in one convenient place.

Mini-camp is over and the Patriots will put the finishing touches on their OTA workouts in Foxborough this week. Thus far the one major absence on the practice fields has been Rob Gronkowski, who has not been seen at any of the sessions open to the media.

Some have speculated that perhaps the tight end is uncomfortable with his contract, although he has publicly put those thoughts to rest. The Boston Herald believes the team is doing the right thing by taking a cautious approach with the game's most unstoppable offensive force.

It's been a very quiet weekend in terms of Patriots news, although that should pick up later on Monday when the team holds its final workout in front of the media.

Until then, ESPNBoston.com writes that Michael Williams' season-ending knee injury could be good news for Clay Harbor.

The Patriots decision to resume using numbers on their practice jerseys during spring workouts was the result of a new rule instituted by the league. That item and much more came from ESPNBoston.com's weekend trip around the NFL.
